I just signed up as a free member at Ron Paul’s Campaign For Liberty and I encourage you all to do the same. I’m going to explore the site more before I decide to be a paid member or precinct leader, but chances are I will upgrade.

The Campaign For Liberty site was established “to highlight the neglected but common-sense principles we champion and reinsert them into the American political conversation” and to help us build networks of citizens in every state to take back our country.

Together we can educate ourselves and others about what’s really happening in Washington and keep our elected officials focused on the REAL issues, not the bipartisan BS that has crippled American politics for years. As the site states: “An educated public is an essential ingredient of a free society. Ambitious governments would have far greater difficulty implementing schemes that undermine liberty and prosperity were they faced with an informed and vigilant population.”

The Campaign For Liberty site has some really cool features:

States – In this section you can see which members of Congress from your state voted on certain issues, like the Billionaire’s Bailout Bill. It also gives their website, phone and address information so you can contact them. Or you can just vote against them, like I will be doing. You can also see which member voted against it and call to congratulate them.

Education - This section has plenty of recommend books, pdfs and even mp3s.

Q & A – An interactive, web 2.0 question and answer section – similar to Yahoo Answers – where members can ask questions and be answered by fellow members. Then, members vote on the best answer.

Blog – Pretty self-explanatory. A blog interface with a C4L subdomain.

There are a lot of other really great things about this site. I’m very excited and proud to be a member! I hope you will decide to sign up and get involved!

The Story of Stuff is a fascinating video that connects the dots between our consumer society, global economy and environmental woes. It’s both entertaining and eye-opening. Take a look when you have a moment (it’s 20 minutes long).
This is a MUST WATCH VIDEO!
